Gharda Chemicals Ltd., through its state-of-art Research &
Development laboratories and innovative approach to scientific
research, has risen from a small scale enterprise established
in 1967 to a globally recognized leader, in the area of fine-chemicals,
agro-chemicals and industrial polymers, with a turn-over of Rs.
750 crores (USD 160 Million). The Company's efforts in the last
40 years, have focused on developing new products and processes
through in-house innovative research, leading to international
and national recognition by way of 23 awards to the Company and
its Scientists.
Gharda Chemicals has now ventured into the High Performance Pigments
field, as a single-point source of a wide range of pigments developed
in-house, to cater for the market demands of printing inks, decorative
paints, automotive finishes, polymers and plastics. The pigments
developed cover various chemical classes. Client-support and Technical
Service Centers are being set-up in Europe and USA, alongwith
Regional Techno-Commercial Centers in other important pigment
markets. Manufacturing facilities have been established at the
Company's Plants at Thane and Ratnagiri in Maharashtra and Ankleshwar
and Panoli in Gujarat, India, duly certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001
and OHSAS 18001.
